PSCG provides a wide range of professional services related to physical security, risk assessment, and electronic security systems, however, we focus on our core competencies listed below. PSCG can work directly for a client/owner with a specific consulting need, or we can support architectural and engineering firms to provide consulting for their in-house project.
Security Assessments
Physical security assessments are essential to securing your organization. Our approach looks at security from every angle to mitigate risks — from the physical environment to the human element to the role of technology. We can help you gauge your strengths and weaknesses by conferring with you, your stakeholders, and business unit managers to understand your business goals and objectives relating to security. After the assessment is completed, PSCG prepares a comprehensive detailed report with recommendations for mitigation of all vulnerabilities discovered. PSCG can also assist the client with planning, budgeting and implementing the identified solutions in the report.
Policies and Procedures Review and Development
PSCG can develop physical security policies and procedures to enable companies to maximize the effectiveness of their security program. While physical and electronic security systems are important and necessary components of a security program, sound policies and procedures are an equally critical component to a successful security program.
Standards & Guidelines
PSCG produces electronic security systems design guidelines and physical security standards to assist your security organization in propagating security decisions through new construction and renovation projects. For clients that have ongoing design and construction projects in multiple locations, PSCG can develop standards or guidelines that that each of your facilities can use or refine for greater uniformity and predictability in your organization’s approach to security.
Peer Review
This is a review of security design construction documents and drawings that have been created by the owner, A&E firms, or any entity other than PSCG. The Peer Review provides independent validation of the security design documents and drawings prior to construction. Based on experience, PSCG has determined the best time to have a security design peer review is when the construction documents and drawings are about 95% complete.
RFP Preparation
Preparation of RFP (Request for Proposal) documents to enable the competitive procurement of security systems, guard services, and other security-related products and services.
